It looks brighter than it really is in person.  But I was pretty accurate on the flower, which is what I was after.  I limited my pallet quite a bit in the colors I used.  When I was finished I sat down and read Richard Schmid's book for a while.  He wrote about flowers and painting what you see and feel etc.  The day turned out pretty well.
