This is an interesting lady. She is from New York then Florida and is now an artist down here. She and her husband are also V.P's of newcomers' club. We went to the new joiner's meeting Tuesday. I signed up for Euchre, ladies' lunches out, and chickflicks. Bob wouldn't join in with a group yet. And he said it was hard to break into a poker group. I signed up for Bridge also, but that hasn't made in 3 years she said. ( sigh) So she is painting from a photo of her kids on the lake in a Sea Doo and donut rings of orange etc. The painting should be awesome. She took art lessons and her name is Gloria Menton. Anyway, we went to Greenville and saw Mary Whyte's water color paintings. Bob fell in love with one of them and it is available. You would be amazed at what she can paint. They also have a lot of Andrew Wyeth watercolors to drool over. Mary is from the Greenville area and teaches here once a year. The art museum has a demo of painting a model Sunday from 2 to 4. I hope to go to it. And then there are classes on portrait painting in September. Unfortunately I don't think we will be here which is killing me. I also got Todd Williams email about the painting in Italy in 2012. Ohhh, don't you all want to go? ONLY 7 will get to do this.!! Talk to me guys.
