What is new and what is old

I am so sorry that Song has been so sore and sick the past couple of weeks.  When your back is out your life just seems to stop doesn't it?  Even a dedicated painter has to slow down and help out around the house.  I miss Qiang's paintings.  I am still waiting for El and Jo to finish their paintings and put them on line for all of us to see. 
This week has been interesting.  Our house in S.C. has a gas leak and it is outside, which means it is leaking probably still.  Everything is turned off and will stay that way until we can get someone to dig up the line and find the leak, which is somewhere between the meter and the house.  How awful is that?   Well the Aggies loosing this weekend was bad enough, but trying to find someone to help us from half across this nation was bad too.  Laura had driven out to spend the weekend with visitors after the Clemson game ( THEY Won) and smelled the bad smell.  She had to drive home and not stay on top of this.  The last time we took a break she happened to go out and find someone had turned on the hose in the pool and left it running.  They found it right before the pool over flowed.  I have a "lucky daughter".  She seems to know when there is a need to visit the house.
  Since I couldn't enjoy some Dove's company at the Round Top antique show this year I have to tell them, it is a not to miss event next year.  You have to get in shape or rent a golf cart or pray for rain and cool weather for next year.  We drove through Bastrop and saw all the fire damage.  One house saved, the next one destroyed. It was so sad to  look a and they found a lawyer to sue the electric company.  Well, someone had to take the blame.!!!  And someone has to pay for the damage to the homes that had no insurance.   Oh, yeah, I"ll have to have the truck available for that trip too.  I found a mechanic's table.  They had large round ones and smaller ones and they wind up to be high enough to use for Painting set ups.  I am so excited with this find.!!  It weighs a ton though and I 'll have to beg to get it up the stairs to the loft.  Bob is off on his Bike ride with his son and family.  Wonderful weather in Arkansas and Bartlesville.
